BABY BOY NURSERY REVEAL
One of the most exciting things about a baby coming is getting to design a nursery! Even though babies sleep near mom & dad at first, I still absolutely love to have a finished nursery those first few weeks/months for nursing sessions, diaper changes, and tummy time!

My goal for this nursery was to create a relaxing space for baby boy (and mom and dad). There are other areas of the house filled with bright color and toys, so I wanted this to be more of a neutral room with a calm, relaxing vibe.
I’m no expert with interior design, but I couldn’t be more thrilled with how baby boy’s nursery came out! And I hope you find some inspiration here if you’re designing a nursery of your own.

Choosing A Gender Neutral Theme
As you can probably tell from the photos, I mixed a few different themes together to create something uniquely simple for this space. In three words, I would describe the room as raw, beachy and boho.
My goal was to mix raw, lighter wood tones with white, beige and soft blues. Nothing too bright, nothing too cluttered. Just simple, neutral pieces to create a calm space. Something practical for his newborn phase that can also grow with him over the years.
Paint and Furnishings
We decided to keep the original paint color of the room, which is Behr Quiet Moments. It just so happened to be the perfect soft shade we wanted for the space.
We also thought about adding a shiplap accent wall with some raw wood, but it would’ve had to be done on a wall with a window, and we weren’t sure how that’d look. So we decided to pass on that idea.
This part took the longest. Firstly, because I was so dang picky. And second, because we wanted to buy some second-hand pieces which took time to scope out. (Oh and third, because some of the furniture arrived broken or the wrong color so we had to wait for exchanges!)
With some patience, we were able to piece together furniture both sold on various websites and secondhand on Facebook Marketplace. Here’s what we ended up getting – I found direct links for each item sold brand new:
Decor & Accents
I had so much fun decorating the space! It’s a combination of store-bought, secondhand, and homemade pieces. I’ll link everything above each photo. If what we have is homemade or secondhand, I’ll do my best to find other options available!
